Cars Ahead
Cars ahead
the headlamps stretch for the back seat,
and every bump in the road
brings a cormorant of light.
I sit and think what’s best to do
And my mam is here
It is morning, I hear the woodpigeon
That is the whistle in my nose.
I am stagnant and do not know myself.
I disappear over the horizon
