I’ve been told I ought to write shorter poems sometimes

I hope in this one I sound like a man 

partly because I’m somehow always writing about one

partly because I don’t read the news

partly because the sun is so much nicer than I’ll ever admit

but mostly because it turns out I’m heading right on back

ha!

and anyway

Someone else is gonna buy me that ragdoll cat.
