A Note:

“LOVE WILL BE CONVULSIVE OR NOTHING AT ALL” was inspired by a cover of André Breton’s Nadja – a kiss-marked note from one lover to another (c. 1926) – as re-observed once closing the book, having finished it. The title of this poem is a misremembering of Nadja's final line: “Beauty will be CONVULSIVE or will not be at all.”
